Welcome to La Tupin restaurant in Bordeaux.
Opened in 1968 by Jean-Pierre Xiradakis, rue de la Porte de la Monnaie, La Tupina is recognized for being the reference table in the defense of the traditions and gastronomic products of the South-West.
After 5 years of collaboration with the founding father of La Tupina, Chef Franck Audu perpetuates the tradition, the spirit and the letter of the Bordeaux gastronomic flagship. A real, authentic cuisine, which highlights the exceptional products of the South-West.
A veritable institution, revered by Patricia Wells, or Denis Tillinac, La Tupina means cauldron in Basque. The restaurant's emblem, it sits enthroned in the fireplace and is used in winter to simmer soups whose fragrant aroma spreads throughout the restaurant.
A veritable institution, this country inn has all the taste of yesteryear… Sanguette, macaronade, duck fat fries: the terroir is defended with conviction, and we enjoy hearty dishes from the South-West, but also roast meats and seasonal vegetables – beautiful products displayed on the counter and which whet the appetite. Unavoidable!
Open for lunch and dinner - booking highly recommended.
