Le San Francisco Restaurant
Rue Benoni Praud ,
Île-aux-Moines, France, 56780
Telephone: 02 97 26 31 52
The San Francisco restaurant consists of two large outdoor terraces and a marquee . And inside, a dining room decorated with a sea theme: paintings of lobsters, eels or blue sea urchins, colorful paintings of schools of fish, crustaceans or shells painted by Geneviève, the "house artist". But also fish and marine barbotines found or collages of Breton shells collected for over thirty years on the beaches of Île-aux-Moines at low tide!
Seafood products : oysters, clams, periwinkles, whelks, crabs, spider crabs, red mullet, sole, pollack, John Dory, langoustines and live lobsters… arrive directly from the fish markets of Brittany or from local fishermen .
San Francisco has made a specialty of extremely fresh seafood platters, to eat in or take away!
Another specialty is blue lobster with Kari-Gosse (a Breton spice similar to curry), served with homemade fries.
Not forgetting the carefully selected meats, most often served with fries and a homemade béarnaise sauce. As are the lamb and fig terrines, salmon rillettes, etc.
Booking highly recommended.
