A former post house from the 17th century, the Rond-Point has been run by the MATHIEU family (originally from Aveyron) since 1960.
Considered an institution in the district, it is also a meeting place for walkers in the Père-Lachaise and football enthusiasts (green supporters have always been).
Mr. & Mrs. Mathieu also operate two other Parisian brasseries: the Royal in the 9th arrondissement (Chaussée d'Antin metro) and the P'tite Bougnate in the 10th arrondissement (Marché St Quentin).
